Review

The title of the book is apt and intriguing. At first, I thought it was a self-help/motivational book. But as I read, I was drawn into beautiful contemporary romantic fiction. The tagline too was well chosen.

The cover is simple and neat which fits the story well. If the spacing between the words and the font size was reduced it would have looked better.

The blurb is precise and delivers the right message. It doesn’t give away the whole story but still, it isn’t much captivating. The story sounds quite cliché.

The book’s interior design is pleasing. I loved the fonts used for the title. Each chapter starts with a quote, that blends perfectly with that chapter. Few were motivating and spread positivity.

Both the protagonists’ characters are well developed. They complement and fit each other perfectly. Siddharth’s life takes a new turn motivated by the positive aura emitted from Shanaya, which on the other hand changes her own life too. The little girl, Nitika’s character played its part very well. Though she played a very minor role, she created the impact of the wonders, of what a little positivity might do to a person. Rohit, Mishti and Mayank’s roles too had their part perfectly fitting in each scenario.

The plot is predictable and cinematic. The reappearance of Mishti especially was much predictable.  The concept is quite common and there are many books, dramas, and movies with this. But this story somehow captivates your heart. Once you start reading, you get deeply engrossed in the story. I loved the cute romantic moments shared between the couple. Their fights, the bike ride, the struggle to speak out their hearts and feelings, everything was so beautifully narrated. Though the ending is dramatic, I didn’t find any fault in that. Instead, I enjoyed reading from the start.

The narration is in a simple reader-friendly manner. The story didn’t deviate from the main course anywhere. All the incidents and characters were all necessary for the story. All the pieces fit perfectly. This book left me wanting more. I was craving to read more of the romantic moments between the couple. The right love makes your life merry and makes you fight for the one you love. It is important to speak your heart, especially to the one who you love. Burying it deep and not clearing any misunderstandings will worsen your relationship. The author has brought out this point efficiently through Sid and Shan.

The author’s writing style makes you feel the protagonists’ feelings of love, pain and hurt. One cannot say this is an extraordinary book, but it is heart-warming and makes you crave love and a partner like Sid and Shanaya. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. It is sweet and a pleasant read. Most of the hopeless romantics out there will definitely enjoy this book.

A book’s success depends on the impact it leaves on the readers. In that way, I must say, this book is definitely a successful one. It is a very feel-good book leaving you to dwell in the feeling of love and romance. Worth the buy.
